Job description: A highly motivated scientist is required to join Andrew McCarthy's Synchrotron Crystallography team in the EMBL Grenoble Outstation. This team works in close collaboration with the ESRF on advanced data collection methods and instrumentation with the aim of impacting on challenging structural biological problems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the routine operations, maintenance and user support of the recently built and highly successful microfocus beamline ID23-2 at the ESRF. An interest in and knowledge of instrumentation and software for macromolecular crystallography beamlines at a synchrotron is highly desirable, and scientific computing skills are required.
