'''Brief job description''': We are looking to recruit a Postdoctoral Scientist to join the LMB biophysical facility. The individual will support a range of collaborative projects involving biophysical methods for studying macromolecules and their interactions. The individual will also help conduct workshops, provide informal training for biophysical techniques, help maintain biophysical instumentation and develop new applications.<br>
 
Applicants should have a Ph.D. and have a strong interest in biophysical techniques. It is anticipated that the position may involve techniques such as calorimetry, fluorescence spectroscopy, light scattering, circular dichroism, mass spectrometry, microscopy, analytical centrifugation and X-ray crystallography. Previous experience with some or all of these techniques is essential. The appointment will be at a junior or senior level depending on relevant experience.<br>
 
Candidates will be awarded a three year Career Development Fellowship which is a training and development position for a postdoctoral scientist who has recently completed her or his doctoral studies or is moving into a new research discipline. In which case the applicant will learn and develop biophysical techniques applied to eukaryotic signal transduction, intracellular protein sorting or transcriptional regulation. Experienced candidates will be appointed to either a permanent Investigator Scientist or Senior Investigator Scientist position (depending on level of experience).<br>
