Installing and starting the Safe Exam Browser

On this page you will find out how to download and install the Safe Exam Browser (SEB) for your bring-your-own-device exam.

You can also download the start file for your mock exam here on this page under section 4.

1. Download the installation file

Download the Safe Exam Browser for your operating system here:

Execute the file and install the program on the device, that you want to use for your exam. In order to do this, follow the steps described for Windows systems in section 2, or systems running macOS see in section 3.

2. Installation unter Windows

	Führen Sie die Installationsdatei aus, bestätigen Sie die Geschäftsbedingungen und klicken Sie auf 'Installieren'
	Warten Sie den Installationsvorgang ab...
	Schliessen Sie das Fenster nach der erfolgreichen Installation

3. Installation unter macOS

	Führen Sie die Installationsdatei aus um in das Installationsmenü zu kommen
	Ziehen Sie das Safe-Exam-Browser-Symbol nach rechts, in den Ordner 'Applications'
	Bestätigen Sie die Installation des Programms mit Eingabe und Bestätigung Ihres Administratorpassworts

4. Probeklausur und Download der Startdatei

Wenn Sie den Safe Exam Browser auf Ihrem Gerät installiert haben, laden Sie sich die Startdatei herunter. Sie benötigen diese Datei um die Probeklausur schreiben zu können. Mit dieser Datei und einem Prüfungspasswort können Sie die Probeklausur schreiben. Die Startdatei können Sie unter nachfolgendem Link herunterladen.

Am Tag der Probeklausur erhalten Sie im Prüfungsraum dann das notwendige Passwort.
