Pix2lab

is a utility program to help the user finding the correct geometrical input parameter values for XDS.INP. Upon calling the program it will try to read the file XDS.INP ussumed to be found in the current directory.

The program will repeatedly ask the user to type some pixel coordinates and segment number. It will then report the corresponding laboratory coordinates (mm) using the information from XDS.INP. The program stops when the user inputs an invalid segment number (such as <1). The whole session is saved on file PIX2LAB.LP.

In combination with looking at an image with the XDS-Viewer graphics program the user can find out how image pixels are mapped into laboratory space by XDS.
